In the 12-day war between Iran and Israel that began on June 13, 610 people have so far been killed in Iran and more than 4,746 others have been injured.

According to reports, 28 people have also been killed in Israel as a result of the clashes.

Seyyed Hamidian, one of the wounded, said: “I was changing my clothes when the airstrike started. I had no idea what happened. I felt something big hit the building and all the windows shattered. It was as if the whole building flipped and fell to the ground. Since then, I’ve never seen my wife and daughter again.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, stated that Israel has halted its planned airstrikes on Iran.

Trump said that the recent military operation against Iran’s nuclear facilities was a major victory for the United States.

The US Vice President also reported the complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear facilities in recent American attacks.

JD Vance, Vice President of the US, said: “Not only did we destroy the Iranian nuclear program, we did it with zero American casualties. And that’s what happens when you’ve got strong American leadership.”

On the other hand, the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran has suspended cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) by passing a new bill.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said: “Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization will suspend its cooperation with the IAEA until the security of nuclear facilities is ensured, and the peaceful nuclear path of Iran will proceed more rapidly.”

The United Nations, Turkey, and several other countries have welcomed the ceasefire between Iran and Israel and have called on both sides to adhere to it.

Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, said: “The Secretary-General urges all Member States to uphold their obligations under international law and the UN Charter.”

BRICS member countries, in a statement, called the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities a violation of international law and the UN Charter and demanded the creation of a nuclear weapons-free zone in the Middle East.
