Global tech giant Microsoft has officially ended its 25-year operations in Pakistan, marking the closure of a significant chapter in the country’s digital evolution.
According to reports, the company recently notified its local staff that it is gradually winding down all activities in Pakistan. Microsoft has now fully suspended its operations across the country.
The news was confirmed by Microsoft Pakistan’s founding Country Manager, Jawad Rehman, through a post on LinkedIn. He wrote that Microsoft began its journey in Pakistan in June 2000, which was not just a job, but a mission — one that aimed to contribute to the country’s digital transformation.
