Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a high-level meeting today and discussed ways to further expand trade and investment ties between the two countries.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the Turkish House near the UN Headquarters in New York.
During the meeting, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Turkey and exploring new areas of cooperation based on mutual interests and shared priorities.
They exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest aimed at further consolidating and diversifying bilateral relations.
The two leaders also discussed possibilities for expanding cooperation in several areas, including trade, the economy and investment.
