A team from Amazon Web Services, led by its South Asia and India President Sandeep Dutta, met with Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi today. During the meeting, the team outlined their plan to invest about 8.2 billion dollars in Maharashtra in the coming years. Briefing the media in New Delhi after the meeting, Mr Vaishnaw said that Amazon Web Services plans to deploy some of the best computing facilities and cloud management services in the country. The Minister added that this will generate a significant number of jobs in the coming years.
