Russian state-owned defense corporation Rostec has said it is promoting the latest Russian fifth-generation fighter jet Su-57 for export and expanding production capacity to meet the growing demand for the aircraft.

“The Su-57 is an advanced fifth-generation aircraft. We expect great interest in the fighter at the air show in Bengaluru. Along with improving the aircraft and promoting it to new markets, UAC [United Aircraft Corporation] specialists are working to expand production capacity to meet the growing demand for this fighter,” the company said in a statement.

Su-57 is the only fifth-generation fighter in the world that has proven its effectiveness in countering Western air defense systems in real combat conditions, the statement added.
At the same time, Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev said that the company is offering India comprehensive development of cooperation on the Su-57E project.

“Our proposals include the supply of assembled aircraft, the organization of their joint production in India, and assistance in developing an Indian fifth-generation fighter,” Mikheev noted.

The Su-57E fighter will be presented at the Aero India 2025 show, which will be held from February 10-14 at the Yelahanka Air Force Base.
